korean holiday CHUSOK




CHUSOK Chusok is one the of the most celebration korean holidays.
It's a celebration similar to the American Thanksgiving.In both celebrations people show thanks for their blessings and honor their ancestors.Chusok is celebration on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar month.This year,Chusok is held on September 25,2007. chusok takes place during harvest season. Harvest season is when the farmers gather theirs.During this time,Korean families take time to thank their ancestors for giving them food to eat,such as rice and fruits.The celebration starts the night before chusok and ends the day after the holiday. Many Korean families take 3days off from work to celebrate with families and friends. Because so many people travel,the roads because very crowded.
